The gardens include over 100 Alister Clark Heritage roses ranging from climbers to bush and standard roses with the exception of perfume. Alister Clark, a renowned Australian rose breeder, was also the foundation chairman of the Moonee Valley r Racing Club and master of Oaklands Hunt Club from 1901 to 1908. He named many of his beautiful roses after racehorses.
