California Spangle is apart of our Hong Kong Jockey Club Legends who emerged as one of the defining milers of his era, thrilling fans with his front-running style, fierce determination and high class performances at Sha Tin.
Trained by Tony Cruz, and partnered for most of his career by jockey Zac Purton, California Spangle carved out a reputation as a world-class competitor.
California Spangle rose to prominence during the 2021-22 season, quickly climbing the ranks on the international stage. His signature win came in the 2022 Hong Kong Mile where he topped the champion, Golden Sixty in a performance that cemented his place among the elite.
With over 14million Aud in prize money, California Spangle remains a symbol of his brilliance on the turf.
