Most noteworthy, Carol Reffold (the Patchwork Poet) along with Jim Brown and Dr Andrew Clarke will present songs, poems and stories about the Living Legends, Melbourne Cup Winning horses who now live at this remarkable homestead.
In addition, we showcase tales with interesting ‘coincidences’ about events and the horses’ connections, which have led to that one day of the year, the first Tuesday of November with the running of the Melbourne Cup.

Living Legends aims to provide full access for people of all abilities and mobility challenges at one of the southern hemisphere’s most historic thoroughbred properties, Woodlands Historic Homestead, Heritage Gardens and Park. The horse paddock area, gardens, homestead and park are all wheelchair accessible with wheelchair accessible toilets on site.
