The Legendary Wine and Food Festival will be held at Living Legends this year on the  Sunday 25 October, 2015, at Living Legends.

Come and taste an array of cool, dry-climate wines that have been produced in this region since the late 1860s. A range of varietals are featured including Chardonnay, Pinot Gris, Sauvignon Blanc, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon. And make sure you don’t miss trying the Sunbury Wine Region’s award winning Shiraz.

The Festival also offers a tantalizing selection of food stalls featuring delicious Victorian produce.

The Legendary Wine Festival entices local residents and visitors alike to enjoy the taste sensations of Sunbury’s wineries.

One of Victoria’s oldest wine regions, Sunbury has been producing cool-climate wines since the 1860’s and is well regarded for its award-winning shiraz. In recent times chardonnay, riesling, pinot noir and cabernet sauvignon varieties have been gaining just as much attention.

There will be plenty to keep the kids amused with children under 16 admitted free. Kid’s entertainment will include face painting, a jumping castle and pony rides. An additional feature of this year’s festival will be a tribute to Living Legends most senior resident, Better Loosen Up (BLU). It is the 25 anniversary of BLU’s Cox Plate and Japan Cup Victories. BLU will lead the field out for the 2015 Cox Plate which will be run the day before this year’s Wine Festival. There will be an exhibition of collection of newspaper clippings and memorabilia from BLU’s racing days in the homestead on the day of the event. Guided Tours of the horses with photo opportunities will be provided throughout the day.

Children under 16 are admitted free. Online per purchase tickets $22 (plus booking fee) or $25 at the gate on the day. Tasting glasses are available for $5.00 each and are yours to keep.
