New Legends to arrive in 2010
Living Legends is excited to announce that 2010 will see the arrival of three new Legends.
 |
Maldivian, the 2008 Cox Plate winner, is currently recuperating from "stem cell" treatment of a small tendon tear. He will arrive at Living Legends when he has fully recovered. |
|
| |
 |
Apache Cat, the champion sprinter, is due out of quarantine in the second week of January and will then head to Greg Eurell's stables for box rest for his injured sesamoid bone. Sportsbet.com.au has pledged to sponsor Apache Cat’s retirement to Living Legends, and plans are for "The Cat" to arrive at Living Legends in Autumn this year. |

 |
Takeover Target, the "rags to riches" wonder horse, has commenced an Australia-wide tour which has included a visit to Perth. He is presently having a well-earned rest at Joe Janiak's property before embarking on a second round of visits. Takeover Target is due to arrive at Living Legends in the second half of 2010. |

Check back regularly for updates on the arrivals of these three new Legends.
Bomber Bill, Saintly and Sky Heights currently away from Living Legends
Saintly is presently at Bart Cummings' Princes Farm in New South Wales. We hope to have him back during the 2010
Spring Carnival. Sky Heights is at Colin Anderson's property on the Mornington Peninsula. Bomber Bill is
on secondment at Woodside Park, acting as an uncle or paddock minder for yearlings at the property. Bomber is at his
happiest with young horses.
Check back regularly for updates on when these legends will be returning to
Living Legends!
Gardens in Full Bloom
The Gardens at Living Legends are currently in full bloom, thanks to the hard work of an enthusiastic team of local
volunteers, and the strategic addition of fertilisers provided by our garden sponsor Neutrog. The gardens include
magnolias which are the oldest recorded European trees in Victoria, and are truly a sight to behold. Check out a
gallery of photos of the gardens, or even better, come and
visit to see the gardens in person while they are still blooming!
