Homestead Visit the Homestead
At the 1840's "kit-home", hosts will provide interesting accounts of its many owners over the years. Beautiful surrounding gardens can also be enjoyed

Bring a Picnic
Enjoy a picnic lunch among the magnificent River Red Gum trees at the Somerton picnic area. Picnic tables, water, toilets and electric barbeques are available.

Go walking, cycling or horse riding
Explore the many park tracks including the 1.5km Moonee Ponds Creek Nature Walk and the 2.5km Murrup Gurrong Yan (Spiritual Creek Walk), and admire the native flora and fauna along the way. Experience the "Back Paddock"
The fenced back paddock allows you to experience the wilder part of the park away from the Homestead. Cycle or wander around as you search for kangaroos, birds and other wildlife.

Walk up Gellibrand Hill
This 204m hill allows you to explore granite boulders and enjoy a 360° view of the city, the bay, the Great Dividing Range and Melbourne Airport.

Explore the rich human history
Scarred trees and surface stone tool scatters provide unique evidence of the Woiworrung Aboriginal people, who lived in the area before the Europeans arrived.
